Tady je Manasovo

As usually this report from Demo Day in Vsenory downhill track comes with delay. 3 weeks before the D day people are asking me if I would attend, friend is bothering me with questions on Facebook, it’s regular bullying.

Well, what else can I do except of taking my car, load it with my DH bike and went there. Usual traffic jam all the way there as like every day this week.

In Vsenory, there is like zillions of people, I’m parking my car take my bike and looking out how to get uphill. All cars are full with bikers so I’m thinking about walking up to the track. Luckily we get into friend’s car and we’re up. Lots of people here, it’s like on regular racing day. Franta doesn’t have gloves, just only bare hands – he says that he has better control, feeling and whatever crap :-) I’m going first, we’re riding smoothly. He leads the second part of track and we’re going bit faster. There is a gap across small path I was afraid all the time, friend of mine stands nearby and just says: “Don’t be a pussy”. I’m not so I just grab my bike and with small effort it’s done. Don’t know what I was afraid of, it’s really easy jump.

We’re doing the same trail again, it’s really fast when dry. Then we’ve decided to try the next trail on the other side of the valley. It’s horrible crosscountry pedalling on downhill bikes. Kubajsz, Maara, Ovar, MMRB and me are riding, rest of the group is just walking. What a weakness! Trial is awesome but more suited for enduro bike. I’m pushing the limit while going down and I almost go down. We’re riding the first trail again but I’m sort of lazy so I’m heading for the lunch. I sit with the girls and they are telling me their story from the trip to Vsenory. It’s pure fun, especially the part when they are asking for directions from a old drunken guy. Agi is trying to film me, the lenses did not break, am I getting nicer? Usualy the glass can’t stand my face :-)

I’m going uphill after lunch and as I’m full with fried cheese I almost threw up when the gravity takes over. I’m finally down there and here’s my girl Sarka and my friend Padlista, they came over on XC bikes. Padlista is talking about some XC races … he’s totally nuts now. He used to be downhill guy.

They’re going home and I’m going up. The next ride I feel bit tired, so I just grab my camera and I’m trying to do some photos. It’s fun as I don’t know how to make proper photo and the lack of agreement where we will do it. But some photos are ok, so it’s fine

I pack my stuff, sit with friends and do the BBQ. BBQ is great, friends are good and stories good as always. Just Carys spoiled the info that my laugh is like Fantomas’s one (one bad guy from French movies) so him and other friend are staring at me, waiting for me to burst out laughing. Not this time boys! :-)

At about 9PM I’m going home. Another great day, met loads of friends, nice to see you!
